Croeso i Dosbarth Wrecsam
We are Year 3 & 4 and our teacher is Miss. Martin.
During autumn term, our teaching assistants will be: Miss. Daley; Miss. Dennis and Miss. Wallen. During spring term our teaching assistants will be: Miss Dennis and Ms. Owens. During summer term, our teaching assistants will be Miss Dennis and Ms Rahman.
Important Information:
School starts at 8.50am and ends at 3.20pm.
Healthy Snack will be provided for your child at a cost of 20p a day, this can be paid to the teacher managing the snack trolley at break time. We are encouraging the pupils to manage their own money and take responsibility for this. All pupils will have a safe place to keep their money in, as they will have individual trays and pegs for their bags; however, this money will be their responsibility (envelops are also available in class for extra security.) Snack can be brought in from home and consumed at break or lunch time.
All pupils will have their own cup in class, they can drink water at any point during lesson times. Water bottles can be brought in from home for pupils to drink from at break and lunch time.
PE is on a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure your child/children arrive at school in their PE kit or other suitable clothing.

Autumn Term
Our topic for this term is ‘Up the Chimneys, Down the Mines.’ We will be learning about the Victorian Era, in particular Victorian Britain.
In September, the pupils had an opportunity to share their ideas for this topic and they had fantastic suggestions – we will be using these within our lessons. For example, many pupils asked ‘what was school like in the Victorian Era?’ So, we will ensure this is covered within our lessons!
Throughout this year, we will aim to embed the four purposes into every pupil’s education by helping them become: capable, ambitious learners; ethical, informed citizens; healthy and confident individuals; and enterprising, creative contributors.

Spring Term
We hope you have had a lovely winter break and wish to welcome you all back to Dosbarth Wrecsam!
Throughout this term, the pupils’ topic will be ‘Mind, Body and Soul.’ This will consist of looking at: Theories of Evolution; strategies for keeping our minds and bodies healthy; and exploring how our personalities differ, amongst many other things. Pupils have been given an opportunity to share ideas and suggestions of lessons/activities that they would like to do, based on this topic.
A topic-specific menu of home learning will be provided within the first two weeks of term – the pupils will need to complete these tasks at home and will receive DojoPoints for any returned/evidenced home learning.

Summer Term
We hope you have had a lovely Spring Term and wish to welcome you all back to Dosbarth Wrecsam for our final term!
Throughout this term, the pupils’ topic will be ‘Celebrations around the World.’ This will consist of looking at different cultures/countries and what celebrations/festivals are associated with them. Pupils have been given an opportunity to share ideas and suggestions of lessons/activities that they would like to do, based on this topic.
A topic-specific menu of home learning will be provided within the first three weeks of term – the pupils will need to complete these tasks before the end of the Summer Term at home and will receive DojoPoints for any returned/evidenced home learning.
