How to get Minecraft: Education Edition

Minecraft: Education Edition is available for Windows, MacOS, and iPad devices and will need to be downloaded on the devices you plan to use with your learners. We recommend using Windows Desktop or MacOS as this will allow you to use the Classroom Mode and Code Connection companion apps, which offer an enhanced Minecraft experience for the classroom.

On PCs and Macs

  1. Go to
  2. Choose ‘Support’ and ‘Download’.
  3. Once installed, log in with your Hwb username (e.g. and password.
